40 weeks- times up!

I am purposely posting this a day early in hopes that I will jinks things and she might come on time. Tomorrow morning (12/8/08) MaKenna is officially due. And since she is not here yet we had to add a 0 (zero) to the door. If nothing happens tomorrow, we have a doctors appt Tuesday morning and will discuss and most likely schedule an induction. We will keep everyone posted. Ken is planning on sending out a mass text, email, and posting to the blog shortly after MaKenna is born. Also, despite being 40 weeks pregnant, I am feeling great. Just a little tired of waiting. :)

WEEK!!!!

Mike (Michelle's dad) has the honor of pulling off week number 2

to reveal that there is only one more week until baby MaKenna is due. 

All the grandparents are in town now awaiting the arrival of MaKenna.  Here are their guesses as to when MaKenna will decide to arrive. 

Cindy (Michelle's mom)- December 1st (so far not looking very probable) 

Bud (Ken's dad)- December 7th

3 weeks is gone and now there is

Here is the long awaited belly picture. (At least by some.) 

At Rock Creek Pumpkin Farm in Broomfield, CO. 

This week we will start our childbirth preparation classes and also visit the doctor for my 32 week check up. I am no longer working. When I look at the calendar, it looks like the next 8 weeks are going to fly by. I also have my first baby shower on Saturday. I'll post later where we are registered just in case anyone is interested. Ken and I will also work harder at keeping the blog updated a little more regularly. For a while it seemed like there was not much to write about. If there are any specific questions that you have about the pregnancy or our plans after baby MaKenna arrives, just post a comment and we'll make sure we respond to your inquiries. 

28 weeks

This is week 28. Only 12 weeks to go. We have a doctors apt tomorrow morning. Below are some pictures.

The Gene Machine

Ken and I went to Dave and Busters on Sunday with our nieces Jayme and Natalye. Dave and Busters is a big arcade. They have a Gene Machine. What it does is take each of our pictures and produces what it thinks our child may look like. You'll notice that she has Ken's mouth and chin and my eyebrows, dimple, and cute little nose. 

24 weeks

Here is my 24 week picture. As you can see the belly has gotten much bigger. The shirt and pants that I am wearing really help reveal its growth.  I am feeling great. I started back to work almost two weeks ago. I am doing a long term substitute position until the end of October. Our 24 week apt is on Friday.

20 week Ultrasound pic

So the tech gave us three u/s pics but I think this one is the best and easiest to tell what's what. The baby is horizontal and looking towards you. The head is on the left. In the middle if you look closely you can see the left arm raised towards the head and the hand balled into a fist. The other hand is directly below the elbow (if you can find the elbow) and near the mouth.
