Daddy's Little Girl
Whoever said the quickest way to a mans heart, is through his stomach; never had a daughter. I can now say with 80% certainty I am the proud father of an unborn baby girl. Though I make this declaration with much excitement and joy I also make it with a good deal of fear and trepidation. In some ways I had been hoping for a boy. My hope was based on nothing more than I know what to do with a boy (i.e. rough house, go fishing, play ball, play tricks, drive Michelle crazy...). Further, my experience as a youth pastor allowed me the opportunity to learn that I am not always very sensitive or understanding of girls and that I made more than a couple girls cry (albeit not on purpose). However, I know that the strongest and toughest men are all conquered by their little girls. My heart is already captured by the thought of my daughter standing at my feet with her arms raised to up to me wanting nothing more from me than just to hold her. She will be daddy's little girl, and just like her mother she will have me wrapped around her finger... and I'll like it!

Ha ha, thinking of you having your own little girl makes me remember the days of Ryan loving you more than anyone else in the world. I don't think seen her flirt with anyone but you, ever. You'll know EXACTLY what to do with the precious little girl when she gets here :)
If she is as adorable as Michelle was, ( & still is!!), oh my, you two are in for such joy! We know she will be! Love, Aunt Monnie
How exciting! Can't wait to see her. Hope to see you in church this week to check your progress.

Ken, these lines made me swallow real hard... So emotional!! Congratulations on your little lady and I too am so sure you'll just KNOW how to handle your daughter the right way. There's so much love already there (I can read it from each and every post of both of you) - you'll make it easily!
And by the way... happy belated birthday :-)
Congrats Ken & Michelle! A little girl will be so fun! Can't wait to meet her - only a few more months!
Congratulations! I wonder if she will have dimples like Michelle...I'm sure she will have you wrapped around her tiny finger by the end of day 1. Can't wait to see her!
