Amazing

Today Michelle and I went to our first appointment at the OB/GYN.  Now, I have to admit that these visits are a little weird for me as visiting a girly Dr. for girly things is... well... new to me, although I am only a spectator.  However, I am glad I have been able to keep these appointments with Michelle.  To see what was only a speck a few weeks ago taking the shape of a human being is truly amazing!  I don't know if it my mind assigning parts to the blurb on the screen or not, but I think I can see tiny hands and feet, and certainly a head (a giant head).  To see the heart beating and know that this is a living miracle and a gift from God is humbling and amazing.  It is with fear and reverence that I know God is weaving every fiber of this child together for his eternal purposes.  Knowing that Michelle and I get to play such an major roll in this life is amazing.  Realizing that what was only microscopic pieces of Michelle and I have began life and in a few short weeks what went from a "tadpole" baby less than 1/2 an inch into what is recognizable as human is amazing.  And to think that this will be a child we will hold, love, and take care of before this year is over and in only a few more months.  Again this is amazing!
